Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernández has identified Marc-Andre Ter-Stegen and Luuk de Jong as the two players who helped his side defeat Levante in Sunday’s LaLiga tie.
Xavi said De Jong’s goal and Ter-Stegen’s save were crucial during the encounter, as Barcelona recorded an away victory against Levante.
Goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Pedri, and Luuk de Jong ensured Barcelona defeated Levante 3-2.
Speaking during his post-match press conference, Xavi said, as quoted by Marca after the game: “The first half hasn’t been good at all. The team seemed mentally and physically fatigued. Playing on Thursday still weighed us down. In the second half, we were much better.
“One of the keys is Marc’s save and another is Luuk’s goal. These are the details that ultimately count. That’s why we have a great goalkeeper and a great striker. They have made a great effort.”
