Osunreke Alaba, a social media sketchmaker and alumnus of the Radke Akintra Institute of Technology in Ogbomosho, Oyo, received a check for N500,000 from the school’s alumni association.

He said his parents took out loans to pay for his education and were unable to support him, adding that his behavior was not a social media stunt.

A few days later, Alaba announced on her Facebook that a LAUTECH graduate had helped by presenting her N500,000 check.
