Lenten Season is for Christians during which they observe Prayer, fasting and receive ashes on their foreheads.
Speaking with Osbc News reporter Oluchi Amuda on the Significance of the Ash Wednesday Celebration, Bishop, Catholic Diocese of Osogbo, Most Reverend John Oyejola noted that it serves as a time for the Spiritual introspection and a way to connect with God through communal prayer and fasting.
Bishop Oyejola maintained that the Forty days fast for Christians should be a period for self discipline, prayer, fasting and Alms giving.
The Bishop who also spoke on the expectations from Nigerians with just few days to the Election, charged the people to be of good conduct and exercise their civic responsibility of Voting for the candidate of their choice.
The Cleric equally admonished the people to shun Vote buying and every act capable of undermining the Success of the Election.
