One man, Kamoru Ajibola, was arrested by police in the Amuda Oba neighborhood of Modakeke, Osun State, for allegedly cutting a man’s wrist following allegations of adultery.
Ismailah Mohammed, Ajibola’s friend, is also in detention, which is said to have helped cut Tunde Ajayi’s left wrist.
Ajibola and Mohammed were found to attack Ajayi on Monday after accusing Ajibola of sleeping with his wife Kemi.
A local resident reported that the extramarital affair has been going on for some time.
“This led to heated discussion between the parties, but this morning Ajibola and his friend came here to attack Kemi’s husband.
Police spokesman Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident, saying the two suspects were in detention while the investigation continued.
