Nigerians are not happy with the reported missing money from the accounts of the Kano State Sharia Court . Recall that that Daily Trust recently reported that N345 million is said to have gone missing from the accounts of the Sharia Court.

The missing funds are said to belong to heirs and heiresses kept in the custody of the court before distribution to the rightful owners.

The secretary to the court, Haruna Khalil said the funds were discovered to have gone missing when the court attempted to withdraw part of the money when it discovered that only N9 million was in the account.

Meanwhile, Nigerians have reacted to the development on social media, with many of them calling out the hypocrisy of the court.

Musa Abdullahi, wrote: “Corruption has eaten deep into the fabric of our nation. And it is so devastating and frightening that the institutions shouldered with the responsibilities of protecting our moral values are also into the filth of moral decadence. It is one of the signs of end time. May God protect us from radical self – love as well as every form of deception.”

Shehu Mohammed said, “Where is the sharia? If this can happen in a sharia Court where common man is expected to get justice.”

Ibrahim S. Daura added. “Physical appearance does not determine the character of individual but the state of mind. Most of the people are hiding under the shirt of religion pretend that they are honest. While they are the dangerous elements in the society. So do not trust anyone because of his appearance.”
