Osun United are eyeing the first points on the road as they prepare to slug it out against Ibom Youth FC in the week 5 fixtures of the ongoing Nigeria National League (NNL).
The Omoluabi Giants, who sit second on the log of Group B1, a point behind the group leader, 3sc are hopeful of away points to keep pressure on the table topper.
Speaking on the team’s readiness for the encounter, Coach Bright Omokaro (MON) said he was not afraid of any team in the group as he focuses more on the technical and tactical improvements to win matches both home and away.
“We take matches as they come and we believe we can do it. We have learnt our lessons from the loss to 3sc and believe me, our target is maximum points against Ibom Youth FC.”
Also speaking, skipper of the team, Akeem Olalere said they were fully fit and battle ready for Ibom Youth and would approach the match with the zeal for victory.
“We are not going to Ikot Ekpene for window shopping but to get our first points on the road. Our opponents are also a good side but we have been technically and tactically motivated to get what we want”, said the former 3sc midfielder.
The match against Ibom Youth FC will kick off 4pm on Saturday at the Ikot Ekpene Township Stadium.
