NSF 2022: Islamiyat, Kayode Win Gold As Osun Rake-In 23 Medals

2022 Commonwealth Bronze Medallist, Islamiyat Yusuf and a young Shooting expert, Odesanmi Kayode have raked in 2 more Gold medals for Osun in the ongoing National Sports Festival in Asaba, Delta State.

While Islamiyat clinched Gold medal in the female Weightlifting 64kg, Odesanmi won a Gold medal in the Male Shooting Game to increase the tally of Osun Gold medals to 4.

Recall that Titilayo Badmus and the trio of Odesanmi Kayode, Oyegbade Ayomide and Francis Okwu had won Gold medals in Swimming and Team Shooting Games respectively.on Tuesday.

Islamiyat similarly clinched a Silver and Bronze medal each in 64kg Weightlifting to make it 3 medal-haul by her

Also on Wednesday, Yusuf Rasheed.Olatunji won a Bronze medal at the Decathlon while Titilayo Badmus took home another 2 Bronze medals in Swimming after Julius Grace had bagged silver in Female Shooting Game.

In total, Osun have won 23 medals i.e 4 Gold, 8 Silver and 11 Bronze and are also expecting more from the remaining games

The 21st edition of the National Sports Festival will climax Saturday.
