NSF Zonal Elimination: Osun Picks Beach Volleyball Ticket

The representative of Osun at the just concluded zonal elimination of ball games – South West zone , has picked the ticket in the game of beach volleyball.

This is contained in a release issued by the CPRO- of the Sports Council -Mrs Funmilayo Moradeyo..

The state team alongside Oyo state will now represent the South West in the game of beach volleyball.

In his remarks, the General manager of the Sports Council – Mr Rotimi Dunmoye commended the beach volleyball players and their coach for the job well done, and also appreciated the efforts of other ball games during the three days fiesta, saying ‘ even though they lost, it was indeed a gallant lost afterwards.’

In the same vein, the trials for individual games will continue next week to pick the. best athletes that will represent the state at the festival proper- Delta 2022.

The athletics trials comes up on Wednesday next week at OAU field Ile-Ife.
The track and field events include: 100m; 200m; 400m, 800m; 1,500m Hurdles and long jump amongst others.
