Osun State on Monday got sanitizers, disinfectant hand wash, and nose masks from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to help fight the Coronavirus pandemic.
However, the donation was presented by the State Coordinator, Mr. Ayodele Adegoke Adewale alongside other officials of the scheme to the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Wole Oyebamiji.
In his address he added that, the production of the support materials which include; disinfectant hand wash, antiseptic hand sanitizers, and nose masks was the initiative of the NYSC Director-General as a way of making corps members in the state and nation at large give back to the society and contribute to the eradication of the pandemic.
“Production which was carried out by corps members as part of their Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) was supervised by officials of the scheme at the NYSC State secretariat.”
Subsequently, a corps member serving with the Federal Government College, Ikirun in Ifelodun local government area of the State, Miss Omolara Kolawole donated 20 cartons of noodles to Osun State government to help to cushion the effects of ‘Stay-at-home’ order.
Kolawole a graduate of Economics from Ekiti State University during her presentation said the donation is to assist the Osun State government in the fight against COVID-19.
According to her, the donation is to contribute in my own little way to the state government in the fight against coronavirus that is ravaging the world
