
Osun 2022: Aremo Adelabu visits Iwo, Ifon Osun, urges Youth to Vote for Oyetola, donates Balls
In continuation of his personal street campaign for the reelection of Governor Gboyega Oyetola for the second term, Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Sports, Aremo Adegboyega Lateef Adelabu visited Iwo in Osun West and Ifon Osun in Osun Central to canvass votes for his Principal, Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
In Ifon Osun, Aremo Adelabu who met several youth at the AUD Primary School, Ifon Osun while playing Sunday Set lauded them for being among the serious and hardworking Osun youth who work so hard during the week and exercise their body on Sunday through Sunday Set.
“I am here today to remind you of the July 16 guber poll in our state and the need to vote for Governor Oyetola for the second term based on his achievements. He has been a governor that cares so much about the youth and has created several platforms for youth to explore and contribute their quota to the society.”
In Iwo, the Governor’s aide who identified with coaches, captains and players of various football clubs at Local Government Open Playing Ground, Araromi, Iwo and DC School Oke-Ọla Playing Ground, Iwo charged them not to rest on their oars but to see sports as a lucrative profession.
“One of the few lucrative jobs in the world is sports. There is no game that does not bring bountiful fortune to those who are lucky to get to the podium. This is why you should be disciplined and focussed because to excel in sports requires a lot of determination, commitment and perseverance.”
He also used the opportunity to solicit their votes for Governor Oyetola.
“My people, July 16 is here when we will go out to vote. I appeal to you to vote for our amiable Governor, Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola. That’s why I am here. During the last three and half years, he has tried his best while his landmark achievement has been felt across the nook and cranny of the state.
“To whom much is given, much is expected. I want to urge you to let’s return the Governor for the second term, so that we can benefit more in terms of youth empowerment, youth engagement and youth development.”
Some youth who spoke in both communities such as Lawal Malik, Oyegbile Musbaudeen, Coach Ibrahim Okikiola among other appreciated Aremo Adelabu for the visit and the gift of balls given to them. They also assured him of their readiness to vote for the APC in the July 16 Governorship election.
Highpoint of the visits to Iwo and Ifon Osun was the presentation of soccer balls to some football clubs in both communities by Aremo Adelabu and his team.
