The Special Adviser to the Governor on Works and Transport, Engr.
Hussein Toke Olaniyan has presented samples of the Osun Drivers and
Motor Conductor’s Badge to the officials of Osun Nigeria Union of Road
Transport Workers and Road Transport Employers Association, National
Association of Cooperative Transporter.
Engr. Hussein Toke, while speaking on behalf of the Government, said
that the wearing of the drivers and conductors badge on duty is for
commuters and passengers safety from intruders and touts.
The Special Adviser who commended Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for
subsidizing the payment of the drivers and conductors badge also
advised Transport Unions to comply with the State Government on the
usage.
Meanwhile, the new Acting Executive Secretary, Office of
Transportation, Engineer Bilal Adebisi Adiat has enjoined all members
of NURTW and RTEAN, NACTO to publicise the immediate usage of the new
driver’s and conductor’s badge in all their unions branches across the
nooks and crannies of the State.
