Government of the State of Osun has frowned at the non-challant attitude of traders, artisans and operators of business premises who flout the order of the weekly environmental sanitation exercise.
The Director- General of the Bureau of Social Services, Mr Richard Tinubu who went round osogbo metropolis to monitor the Thursday sanitation exercise in the early hours of today expressed his displeasure at the development which he said negates the principle of cleanliness.

The Bureau of Social Services also observed that many residents in the state capital and other major cities in the state have developed the habit of staying at home while the sanitation period lasts instead of cleaning their business environments to ensure personal hygiene.

To this effect therefore, the Director-General called on all relevant law enforcement agencies in the state to henceforth ensure strict compliance to government’s directive.

Mr Tinubu equally enjoined members of the public to use the 3-hour window to keep their business areas clean weekly.

While calling on health officers in all local governments to act accordingly, Mr Tinubu reminded residents of the state that a clean environment goes a long way in guaranteeing a healthy life.
