In preparation for full resumption of students,Osun state government has commenced the distribution of COVID-19 protective materials to
junior secondary schools.
Presiding over the distribution of water basins, liquid soaps, infrared thermometers, and sanitizers to the school principals, the Executive Chairman State Universal Education Board, Hon. Engr. Isreal Ajibola Famurewa explained that Governor Adegboyega Oyetola is committed to ensuring qualitative education and healthy living of all in the education sector.
According to Hon.Famurewa,the materials distributed will serve as preventive kit to ensuring that COVID-19 has no breathing space in Osun schools.
Earlier, the Executive Secretary, SUBEB,Mr.Adeoye Bakare explained that the path which the dreaded disease is towing is a thing of concern, hence the proactiveness of governor Oyetolas administration to ensure safety of teachers and their students in schools.
Mr.Bakare noted that new innovations have been introduced to schools in order to record excellence in education and morals.
Speaking in a separate interview,the commissioner for technical for SUBEB chief (Dr.)Moshood Oluawo and the commissioner for services Hon.Amos Akindiya lauded the governor for always considering issues relating to education as priority.
Responding on behalf of other school principals Mrs Elizabeth Adedeji and Mrs Olatunji commended the the present administration for working towards ensuring that no life is lost to COVID-19 in Osun Schools.
They pledged to make judicious use of the preventive materials.
