Governor Ademola Adeleke had successfully substantiated his defence against academic irregularities and over voting which the former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola relied upon in his petition to invalidate the July 16th guber poll which brought in Sen. Adeleke as a winner
The forensic examiner engaged by Governor Adeleke successfully demonstrated to the tribunal that contrary to widespread over voting that the former governor alleged in his petition before the tribunal, only six polling units were fraught with irregularities.
A senior assistant to the governor, Reverend Bunmi Jenyo also disproved the alleged academic deficiency of Sen. Adeleke which is another fulcrum of Oyetola’s claim at the tribunal by presenting the original copy of results and certificates used by Governor Adeleke during the Osun gubernatorial election.
Reverend Jenyo stated under cross examination by APC counsel that the Penn Foster High School certificate was not the basis of Sen. Adeline’s admission and graduation with a university degree.
He noted that the Penn Foster High School Diploma certificate is not in any way connected to his University Bsc Degree. It was a decision he took to ensure he satisfies agitation as to the status of his secondary education during the 2018 Osun Election.
According to him, all the schools attended at the United States confirmed the certificates, the transcripts and his sojourn across the various schools; The certificates and the schools were also reviewed and their legality confirmed by the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Education.
Reverend Jenyo climaxed his testimony by presenting a court of appeal judgment which absolved Senator Ademola Adeleke of any certificates forgery and academic irregularities .
Meanwhile, the election petition tribunal was adjourned till 13th January for final addresses by counsels,
