
…..as Adeleke assures Completion of all Abandoned Projects
Osun State Governor Sen. Ademola Adeleke has again assured that all abandoned projects by the former administration would be completed while his administration would embark on more infrastructure project that will improve the wellbeing of all citizens and residents.
Governor Adeleke stated this while playing host to Osun State House of Assembly lawmakers who were led to the State Government Secretariat by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye.
Governor Adeleke noted that the visit would further strengthen working relationship between the executive and the legislative arms.
He reiterated his commitment for a genuine renovation of the state legislative chamber in a bid to create a conducive atmosphere for legislation saying that he would soon be submitting some executive bills for legislative process.
‘I assure that our administration would complete all project started by the previous Governments regardless of the political party differences.”
The Governor said work has since resumed on the abandonedOsogbo/Ikirun/Ila Odo Kwara State boundary.
He promised that work will soon commence on the completion of the Osun House in Abuja and Ilesa water scheme adding the the state delegation will be meeting the minister of water resources to facilitate the project completion.
He warned that as a security expert and chief Security officer of the state “anybody that is caught causing trouble during the coming election will be dealt with in accordance with the law.”
The Governor assured that he still abide by his earlier promise to be a Governor for all.
Responding, the Speaker, Hon. Timothy Owoeye explained that the visit was occasioned by the need to reciprocate the kind gesture of the Governor who paid a courtesy visit to the house.
Hon Owoeye assured that the lawmakers are working on the same page with the executive arm of the government and promised that the current symbiotic relationship will be sustained.
He said “the assembly is ready to support the governor to ensure that dividend of democracy gets to nooks and crannies of the state, noting that there has been a relative peace in the state since the assumption of the Governor..
He assured that both the Executive and Legislative Arms are partners in progress saying lawmakers have seen a lot of work going on in the state.
He charged the governor to do more on security of lives and property so that the peaceful atmosphere that pervades the state since his assumption of office will be sustained..
