Osun United Management Celebrates Former Player for Winning NPFL
The management of Osun United has congratulated the team’s former midfielder, Dare Olatunji for being among the victorious Enyimba Football Club of Aba that emerged champions of the 2018/2019 Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).
The Management, in a congratulatory message by its President, Chief Ademola Adesina lauded the immense contributions and performances of Dare Olatunji that assisted the ‘People’s Elephants’ to win the trophy they last coasted home in 2015.
It would be recalled that the versatile midfielder joined Enyimba from Osun United at the beginning of the season and proved his worth by being an active player with regular appearances enroute Enyimba’s 22 league matches.
Dare was also a force to reckon with for Enyimba in almost all the matches played at the just concluded Super 6 and was instrumental to the teams qualification for the CAF Champions League, apart from wining the NPFL.
“Dare is a versatile, young midfielder whose football talents grew in leaps while at Osun United. He was among the best midfielders who were humble, disciplined and focused, which were some of additional qualities that attracted a big club like Enyimba”.
“We believe in his ability as a potential talent and the perfect solution to the midfield challenges in the national teams if given the opportunity”, declared Chief Adesina.
The present management further reiterated its avowed commitment towards restructuring the team to ensure that the state government benefit from movement/sale of players to bigger clubs in accordance with the best standard.
It would be recalled that many players of Osun United have joined bigger clubs both in Nigeria and abroad and have been contributing immensely to their teams’ successes through outstanding performances.
A few of them are Tosin Omoyele who plays for Nogoom FC, Egypt, Rasheed Hammed of Shooting Stars, Jide Fatokun, Ayo Ojo, former under 17 defender Chigozie Obazi, Kehinde Adeyemi all at Sunshine Stars, Akure, Fatai Abdullai of Abia Warriors, Thomas Adesina of Nasarawa United, Aleem Adebayo of Crown FC and many more.
The management therefore prays for all Osun United players, both current and past to be successful in their chosen career of football.
