Osun State Governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola today walked along with hundreds of #EndSARS protesters from Oke fia to popular Olaiya junction in Osogbo.
While addressing thousands of Protesters who had earlier converged at Olaiya, Governor Oyetola said the young people have spoken loud and clear and would have their interest protected by the government.
He apologised to the youths for coming late to address them.
The governor said he was out of the state before and he just came back about an hour ago.
Oyetola who commended the protesting youths for displaying ethos of Omoluabi and for comporting themselves peacefully during the cause of their protest said he also condemned the action of the SARS Personnels , adding that they were saddled with the responsibilies of protecting the citizens not to kill them
The Governror debunked the allegation making the round that he sent hoodlums to attack the EndSARS protesters , saying he was out of the state and he never sent anybody to attack Protesters.
Reports had it that the protests at a stage thereafter went violent forcing people around Olaiya and Okefia area to run for safety.
A number of people were said to have been seriously wounded and taken to hospitals for immediate medical attention.
