State of Osun

The state of Osun has been ranked the most peaceful state in Nigeria.

This was unveiled by an independent Non-Government Organization   (NGO), Foundation for Peace Professional (FPP), and Nigeria Peace Index (NPI) research which focused on measuring peace tendencies through foundational indices.

Reacting to this, statistician-general of the state, Professor Alagbe  Gbolagade stated that the ranking of Osun as most peaceful state in Nigeria as well as a safe haven for investor  was   based   on   the   data collected from year 2010-2016   during   the   regime   of former   Governor   Rauf   Aregbesola and the same indicator was adopted in the first quarter of year 2019 during the present administration of Mr Gboyega Oyetola.

The state statistician general observed that the result of the research followed   the   same   trend   which   shows   the   advantage   of   continuity in   the governance of the state of Osun.
