Two people, Saliu Jegede, 42, and Friday Ndubuisi, were remanded to the Nigeria Correctional Center by an Akure trial court for murder.
However, Jegede was brought to justice for allegedly killing a man identified as Orimola with a gun.
The police prosecutor, Inspector Suleiman Abdullateef, declared the offense committed on February 23, 2020 at the community primary school, village of Omi-Alafa.
Ndubuisi allegedly killed Joseph on Monday at around 7 p.m. in Odoluwa Street, Ile-Oluji district.
Inspector Abdullateef said that the two offenses were punishable under articles 316 and 319 of the Penal Code, Cap 37, Vol 1, laws of Ondo State in Nigeria.
However, Abdullateef urged the court to return the suspects to the Nigeria Correctional Center pending legal advice from the director of public prosecutions.
The presiding magistrate, Ms. A.A Oyedele, acceded to the request and referred the two suspects to the Nigeria Correctional Center.
She adjourned the hearing of the two cases until April 8, 2020.
