
As the world marks teachers day today, Osun State Government has lauded teachers for their commitment and support for Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s administration.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Head of Service, Dr. Olowogboyega Oyebade made available to newsmen on Wednesday
Today 5th October 2022 we congratulate all the teachers in the State for their strong commitment to duty, patriotism, resilience and hardwork in the promotion of education in the State.
The statement reads “Through the good work teachers of the State are doing a student of a public secondary school emerged the winner of a Presidential Technology Competition through which he won Federal Government scholarship awards to study to Ph.D level. Through the sense of industry of these teachers some of the students in public schools emerged among students with the highest scores in the Unified Examinations conducted by Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
“We are proud of your vigilance in making examination malpractice a near impossibility in the State thus restoring credibility and public confidence in public examinations in the State.
“Under the dignified supervision of these teachers, cultism and drug addiction have no place again in our schools as firm discipline is maintained at all times. We are grateful to all teachers for the promotion of sporting activities in schools and for making rioting in school-sports and games a near impossibility. The convivial atmosphere pervading our schools are eloquent testimonies to the good work done by all teachers and the sustained rise in the school population tells much that serious attention is given by all the teachers to the cognitive, affective and psycho-motive domains of all the children including all children who are challenged in the State.
“Today, serious academic activities go on in all our public schools. “Today moral instructions are emphasised to all pupils and students who are our hope for the future. Today serious sports competitions go on in our schools. Today, Quiz Competitions and Literary and Debating Societies are encouraged to thrive. These are no mean duties but a testimony of professionalism.
“On this World Teachers Day celebration, we congratulate all of you and hasten to declare that all teachers in the State are enough good news under the good administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola. This administration will continue to put teachers welfare on the front burner, now and ever.” The statement concluded
