The highly esteemed Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdur Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, Odundun iv met with representatives of Osun indigenes who reside in the 18 Local Goverment areas of Ondo State at Ondo town on the 14th of September, 2021.
Aragbiji who was in Ondo to attend a four-day Governing Council meeting at the prestigious Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo of where he is a member used the opportunity to meet with the representatives.
Oba Abdur Rasheed in a statement by his Press Officer, Adekunle Adewumi, said he was delighted and feel honored to have been able to meet with the delegates and discuss on the progress of Osun State while they in turn spoke about their host state.
HRM Aragbiji appreciated the efforts of the representatives in mobilizing the people together even in a foreign state and advised that they should play their part to see to the progress of Osun State.
Oba Abdur Rasheed also urged Osun indigenes to always support themselves whenever there are opportunities which are beneficial to others.He advised them to support all activities meant to better the lives of every citizen of Osun State resident in all parts of Ondo State.
Earlier the President (Aare), Osun Descendants Union Chief Azeez Salami Bashia had welcomed the Aragbiji to the interactive meeting which he described as a new dawn in the quest of Osun indigenes residing in Ondo State to be united together after a lot of fruitless efforts in that direction. Also, the Hon Bashiru Alabi, Chairman of Osun Political Forum in Ondo State described the intervention of HRM Aragbiji in uniting sons and daughters of Iragbiji as a great feat saying that Oba Olabomi will always be appreciated for this.
Other sons and daughters who spoke promised to keep and nurture the unity in the overall interest of Osun indigenes.
It was a splendid interaction which participants promised to spread to others who were not present.
