Independent National Electoral Commission in Ebonyi State has issued Certificates of Return to 24 members-elect of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly.
The 24 members-elect were all members of the Peoples Democratic. The governor-elect, who is also the incumbent governor of the state, David Umahi, was absent during the presentation.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Prof. Godswill Obioma, thanked the people of the state for being law abiding citizens throughout the elections period.
He however, urged members-elect to carry out their legislative duties in line with the constitution and enjoined them to reach out to those that contested with them and lost.
Francis Nwifuru, member-elect for Izzi West constituency and current Speaker of the House, thanked INEC in the state for conducting a peaceful and credible elections in the state.
