Governor, State of Osun, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola said that to ensure tight security on Osogbo-Gbongan-Ibadan road, the popular Olajoku Park located at Gbongan Junction must be rehabilitated and converted to a joint task force base.
The Governor said the decision was taken after justifying the significance of the location to the security needs of the state,he made this statement on his inspection to the place.
He stated that the initiative would help to strengthen security in the state and ensure adequate protection of lives and property of the citizens.
He elucidate the functions of Osun security joint task force which that is the collaboration of the Army, Air Force, Police, NSCDC, DSS among other security agencies, is to ensure that the state is absolutely safe and effectively secure from any external forces.
