A 15-year-old in Kokori community, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State reportedly dumped her baby in the bush after delivery.
She told police that she got rid of the baby because she could not take care of it, adding that she hoped someone would find the baby and take care of it.
A passerby rescued the child.
The teenage mother said she did not know who the baby’s father was, but police said they would try to find him.
